Does this look infected...? Plague Drones finished!

Greetings all.

Despite being out of the loop as far as gaming is concerned, I've been cracking on and getting some painting done. Here I have 3 Plague Drones, finished at last:

Now I did say I was going to rant about these guys, and I still am, but I'm really pleased with how they turned out in the end. They're absolutely fantastic models, no doubt about that. However, they are an absolute pain in the arse to assemble, paint and transport. The spindly legs and sticky-out wings just seem to attach themselves to thin air, and I'm always afraid something is going to ping off and break. It was a pain getting them to stick too, as the joints of the wings wont hold their own weight (I ended up using superglue for the wings in the end).

Having said all of that, they are exceptionally cool models and they look brilliant when painted up. Some of you may notice the conversion work on the champion, made from an old school palanquin of Nurgle rider. Here's a little close up:

Again I'm well pleased with how this guy turned out. He was pretty damaged when I started and it's good to be able to bring him back to life.

Comments are welcome guys!

    1. Aww thanks! They did turn out rather cool in the end, but they were SO annoying until the final stage. Of course because I like them so much, I'm already considering painting more :S

    1. Cheers brother, that's what I was going for! The grinders are still very much on the list, but I need to power through some daemonettes first...

    1. Thanks man! Actually I used one of your models for some inspiration! It was a struggle finding many painted pics of that palanquin rider, but your conversion with the very same guy was just the ticket!

Thats some impressive Nurgle-ness there. Will you be using then for RoC?

    1. Cheers :) nah RoC action for these guys, just summoned troops for current 40k. Now that the horrible chore of assembling and painting them is a little further from my mind, I'm even considering a bigger unit :S
