Rocky Horror: More Pink Horrors done!

Greetings all.

Those of you have been following the 40k 7th edition rumours and subsequent release will know that the psychic phase is now a rather big deal. Horrors are going to play a pretty important role in helping daemon armies dominate in the psychic phase, so it's a good thing I have around a bajillion of them...

I don't have a bajillion to show you however. What I do have is the first six from my second squad (of probably four). These guys are from the second generation of Pink Horrors. Not my favourite, and a bit of a chore to paint, but they do have the crazy, joyful features of the early versions, so I guess they aren't all bad.

There are another five to follow these chaps but for now, enjoy:

Deep Purple: Slaanesh Daemon Prince

Actually it's a fairly light pastel purple, but whatever...

Greetings all.

This week I've been working on my converted Slaanesh Daemon Prince (named Sinwhip Lustviper), sporting the excellent Lash of Despair. Yesterday I managed to get him varnished, so here he is for your viewing pleasure:

He's built from the old Daemon Prince model, with the addition of a claw from an old Keeper of Secrets, a scorpion tale from the old Chaos Spawn, a whip (and hand) from a plastic Hive Tyrant, and a mask from a Dark Eldar Talos/Cronos. I painted him up in pinks, purples and blues (to indicate his alignment, and also to echo some of the colours used on my other models, to tie them all together).

Enjoy!

Think pink: Pink Horrors of Tzeentch done!

Greetings all.

I'm still plodding along with my little quest... Today I managed to finish off my first squad of Pink Horrors. Some of my favourite models in the entire chaos range, these guys are a mix of the original pink and blue horrors. I painted them all as pink horrors though, just thought the squad needed a little variety. I really enjoyed painting these lumpy weirdoes, although they were a nightmare to put together!

I took a pic of the whole lot together, plus individual shots too because I just love these guys!

Whole squad
Howler
Shrieker
Clapbubble
Fluxreaper
Spinner
Glopslobber
Wailer
Squealer
Doomcackle
Piercer
Squawker

Comments welcome of course :)

A big thank you (oh, and some models)!

Greetings all.

Just a quickie from me to say a big thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in my blog so far. It's still getting off the ground but I'm delighted to say that I had the most page views so far yesterday, and I now have my first follower!

So a big, big thank you from me! I've got loads more to paint and post, so hopefully this blog will continue to grow.

Extra special thanks also to the Oldhammer Community on Facebook, there are so many wonders on that page and so much encouragement from all.

I feel like it would be rude of me not to post some pictures of pretty models while I'm here though, so here are some snaps of my Blood Bowl Undead / Necromantic team that I painted a few years ago:

Whole team

Head Coach (Old School Chaos Sorcerer)
Mummies - Mumm-Ra and Boney M

Flesh Golems - Seymour Gutts and Patrick Mortis

Phew... Bit of a big picture dump, but I hope you enjoy! Comments are welcome as always.

All aboard the murder train: Flesh Hounds & Herald of Khorne finished

Greetings all.

It's been a little while since I've posted, but I have been a busy bee.

There have been a lot of rumours flying around about 7th edition 40k. I'm pretty interested to see what will come of that, even if it means I'll need to change a whole bunch of things about the army to keep it playable... In the meantime though, I've been continuing on my painting schedule and I finished the six remaining Flesh Hounds (for 16 in total) and a Khorne Herald on a Juggernaut to lead them:

This little guy is based on an old Champion of Khorne mounted on an old school Jugger.

That's all for now chaps. I'm currently working on the horrors I posted before, so look out for them soon. Comments are most welcome!
