Quick and dirty terrain: Battlefield accessories

Greetings all,

Just a quick post this one, as it isn't terribly exciting! As a little palate cleanser/something to do whilst watching paint dry, I painted up some scatter terrain that has been sitting in my bits box for literally nearly 20 years. I don't host many games these days, but I would like to change that in the not too distant future, so terrain is a necessity.

These few little bits have been waiting nearly two decades, and the paint jobs took me about 10 minutes from start to finish. Nothing fancy (obviously), but they are finished, and that's all that matters!

  1. Terrain is so often left as an after thought, but I love building pieces like that and using them in games. I have quite a few floating in the grey tide under the stairs as well :-)

    1. I agree with you there. I'm certainly guilty of treating it as an afterthought, and my own terrain collection is sorely lacking as a result! I've picked up a couple of the very cool Warcry and Kill Team sets recently, so there's no excuse any more...

  2. Can never have too much scatter terrain!

I like the barrels on the bases - I have a few of those bases that I'm never going to use and a lot of barrels, I may have to steal this idea.

    1. I completely agree, Tim!

Cheers, I liked how they looked based up, rather than just loose. I thought they deserved a bit of attention, seeing as I've had them since I was in school... I can remember using them in some of our first games of Necromunda (1999ish)!
